Thanks, Milan. As you can see from the thread, I managed to upgrade to FW 5.3 using a borrowed Windows 10 laptop.
I did try with Windows 11 and it failed on me. I urge you guys to upgrade one of your computers to Win 11 (it's free) and test this yourselves.

Re: Upgrading HDMI Firmware ends with NOK
Dear Bas:
You will see in the other thread about glitches on playback that I found the latest Firmware to be totally successful. No more glitches for me! I was only able to install this firmware using a borrowed genuine Windows 10 machine. We too are a Mac House. It is an unfortunate situation, and ...

Re: Occasional glitches in the audio (very short, momentary dropouts)
Further verification! I played two Blu Rays all the way through, 8 channel decoding, clean, pure, without a single dropout. I'm a happy camper.

Re: Occasional glitches in the audio (very short, momentary dropouts)
CONGRATULATIONS, PAVEL AND TEAM! I was finally able to borrow a Windows 10 laptop and I did the firmware 5.3 upgrade. Played a Blu Ray for 30 minutes without a single audio glitch. The sound quality seems a bit purer but I could be imagining. Anyway, I'm very very happy. Let's hope it goes without a ...

Re: Occasional glitches in the audio (very short, momentary dropouts)
Dear Pavel: It's September. My Vanity Pro is on HW Version 1, SW System 5.2.1 SW FPGA 6 and SW HDMI 35A1. It still glitches about once every 5 to 10 minutes. Will you be having any Firmware updates to try to smooth out these little glitches?

Re: Occasional glitches in the audio (very short, momentary dropouts)
Hi, Milan. Thanks for your reply and your effort on the new firmware... last time i looked at the status screen, the occasional dropouts did not occur in sync with being near the 20% and 80% buffer points. I would like to try the new firmware and see how it does. I have to move the box upstairs and ...

Re: USB Output Board
I really like the idea but I'm AES/EBU. I would want to have my cake and eat it, too! Have both USB and AES/EBU options, otherwise I'd stick with AES/EBU.
I guess on the HDMI side, the HDMI is the master clock and the AES/EBU is a derived de-jittered output that's "synced" with the HDMI source.

Re: Problem in running AP firmware loader
Hi, Pavel. Any progress in getting Windows 11 to work with the firmware uploader? I have to jump through hoops, remove the Vanity from my rack and bring it upstairs and connect it to my iMac running Parallels.... that's really really really awkward. Sorry.

Re: Occasional glitches in the audio (very short, momentary dropouts)
I have a further development. Vanity pro --- quite serious dropouts at 44.1 kHz. I tried playing an audio CD from the HDMI output of either of two different Blu Ray players and in both cases, Vanity just can't handle it, lots of dropouts. I conclude that your "PLL" is too "stiff".... intolerant of ...
