Hi folks,
I’ve been able to get my Vanity Pro upgraded by JVB, the distributor in the Netherlands. So I’m all good now!
I want to thank JVB, Audiopraise, and community members for all being responsive and trying to help. I fully understand that the firmware flashing issue is not an Audiopraise ...

Re: Upgrading HDMI Firmware ends with NOK
The only Windows machine we have in our home is a Windows 11 laptop. We're mostly a Mac household. Please prioritize allowing firmware updates from multiple platforms.

Upgrading HDMI Firmware ends with NOK
Hi folks,
I've tried to upgrade the HDMI firmware to V35A1but it ends with an NOK message on an INIT cycle. I've tried to flash twice, fully powered off the device for some time, but this problem remains.
Are there particular steps I can try to get my VanityPRO in working condition again?

Re: Audio drop outs regardless of DPLL setting in DAC
Hi folks,
I did a complete cleanup of my set-up including checking all cables, power outlets, checking polarization of power connections, etc. The problems I was having seem to be resolved.
Thanks all,
Bas

Hi Pavel,
Thanks for the response, I'll play around and see if I can isolate the problem. I will return back here after further investigation.

Audio drop outs regardless of DPLL setting in DAC
Hi folks,
I'm experiencing a lot of audio drop outs. Sometimes they hardly occur but most of the time they happen a bunch of times per minute (various channel counts, bitrates and sampling frequencies)
I have the following setup:
Oppo 205 >> VanityPro with 4x XLR AES/EBU >> Okto DAC8 Pro

Re: VanityPRO new firmware available
Any chance of having a firmware tool for Mac OS or Linux?
My Windows 10 on VirtualBox refuses to start the firmware tool and exits with an error even after having tried various Visual Studio redistributable packages.

Re: Downmix Feature
Hi Pavel,
Love the downmix support as found in V5.
There are two use cases when implemented that would make it even better for me especially when dealing with 2 channel content:
An option to have channel L+R be muxed and sent to the LFE channel. Currently one often has to choose to connect sub ...
