Any plans to suppor this player? Any clue if Oppo has changed the lay-out requring a new board?

Hello Karl,
BDP-103 would definitely need a new board as dimensions and position of the analog board has changed from the BDP-93.

Once the player is fully released and available for analysis we decide about the new digital output board.

I would surely be interested in a "Vanity modified" Oppo 103.

You only mentioned dimension and position as reasons for the need of a new board. Hence my question:
would some "creative" mechanical DIY and the old board also do the trick?

Hello Joost,
It is possible that the data connector pinout is the same and the Vanity93 would electrically work with the BDP-103, but we cannot confirm this until we have the BDP-103 on our desk. Hope we can get the player soon.

I am sorry to say that no progress was made with BDP-103. We are busy with other projects at the moment so I cannot tell when we find some time to play with BDP-103. If you wish to take an advantage of all-digital audio signal path, I would suggest to go with BDP-93 and Vanity93.

Thanks for the update.
I will wait since I want to use the BDP-103 also as an audio processor for other sources - and want to be able to use the all-digital audio signal path with all of them.
I will keep looking for the forum for updates.
