Hello Pavel and Forum Gurus,
Would it be possible to preserve HDR and Dolby Vision by running AppleTV or Roku through an Oppo first? The Oppo can split the audio and video with its Audio Out and Video out hdmi.
The video out would go straight to the display and the audio would then route to the Vanity Pro.
Is this a solution?
Thanks.

Re: Preserving HDR/Dolby Vision
Hi jjksat,
Thank you for your question. I think I have seen it on the ASR forum as well
In theory this approach can work well, I guess the only thing that should be verified is if the OPPO is really capable of splitting the external HDMI stream on HDMI input into audio and video portion between the two HDMI outputs. If that works then it would be a perfect solution for handling the audio and video signals separately and not being influenced by any EDID conflicts or restrictions.
Regards,
Pavel

Hey Pavel,
In February (post #154) on ASR, you mentioned new firmware for the VP. Any update on that?
I asked this on the ASR forum as wellB).
Thanks very much,
Steve
