I own an Oppo 93 and I would like to install a Vanity93, but the output has to fit AES/EBU (e.g.: the digital input of processors such as Datasat with connector DB25 female, digital format AES/EBU, sample rates 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 96 kHz, 192kHz). Could you provide a suitable version of the board to get the correct output/input?
Best regards.

Re: AES/EBU output
Hi,
Usually you can drive AES inputs from SPDIF outputs directly without any issues. There is an AES modification available for the Vanity103HD boards that increases the level of the output and matches the impedance to the AES standard. The same modification can be easily applied to the Vanity93HD. You can ask JVB do to the modification for you. Just bear in mind that you have to make a custom interconnect cable yourself to match your receiving device as shown in the modification instructions.
Regards,
Pavel

Re: AES/EBU output
Hi,
in case of DIY, does the same modification explained in http://audiopraise.com/docs/V103HD_AES.pdf apply to Vanity93HD?

Re: AES/EBU output
Hi,
The short answer is yes. The relevant part of the circuit is the same for both boards.

Pavel

Re: AES/EBU output
Hi,
any board version with resistors easier to desolder/solder than SMDs?
Regards.

Re: AES/EBU output
Sorry, what we have are the only versions of the board. If you don't feel comfortable working with SMD components you can order the modification from JVB Digital.
